mission statement
Brittany Rea of Rea Designs believes it is essential to be an advocate for the Earth, its inhabitants, and its resources, especially in the production of goods. Because of this, our mindset at Rea Designs is to reuse what we can, recycle what we can’t, and use new only that which is necessary. We purchase materials that are recycled or secondhand, reuse studio byproduct in creative ways, pass unused materials along to those who can use them, are constantly pushing this practice further, and are always trying to lessen our footprint on this Earth.
We at Rea Designs believe in connection, both to the Earth and to one another. We have used our products to help benefit others through raising money for charities and foundations that support our mission, with a history of donations going to the American Civil Liberties Union, Natural Resource Defense Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the Loveland Foundation, and towards the Black Lives Matter movement.
I created the series “One Collective Heart” in early 2017. Modeled after the image of an EKG heartbeat, this series acts as a reminder that we are all of one human race- our hearts all beat to the same rhythm, in sync with pulse of the earth. -Brittany Rea, 2017
As advocates for the betterment of all people, Rea Designs is always in a state of growth and understanding, doing and being better. We constantly strive for the betterment of ourselves, our loved ones, and the world as a whole. If you have a suggestion of how we can further our impact, please feel free to connect with us! We’d love to hear from you.
